Before you go
- Call ahead. Most public weighbridges are run by private businesses, so opening hours, fees and how you pay differ from site to site.
- Check the site suits your setup: whether the deck is long enough for your car and caravan together, and whether there is room to unhitch.
- Most public weighbridges are accurate to within 20–30 kg. If your weights are close to your limits, a professional weigher measures to within 1 kg.
